Hi, I've had a quick scout round and don't think this has been asked anywhere before !

We've just updated from 6.1 to 9 and I'm lead to believe that I can now set the number that is displayed when an extension rings out. Out outbound line supports it, but at the moment I have to keep it locked down using difference Classes of Service as due to the nature of our business we don't as a rule want a number given out. I can set individual extension to display their DDI going out by changing the COS to another.

I've now got an 0800 which when you ring it just gives a BT type 'we called you if we need to contact you we'll try again later'. However this only displays when the switchboard rings out (the primary number on the ISDN).

Does anyone know of a command in the new version that will allow me to specify per extension the number which is displayed when the extension rings out.......

Thanks !

The commands for presentation numbers are
rprs - use to program the digit strings to be displayed
rpra - set display number for an extension
rexf - to activate
I've not tried this though, and I think your lines need to be isdn30e rather than dass

you could also try adding exd (ex-directory)to the extension's cos and setting system parameter spexn to 1 this should force the default presentation number

That's excellent:) we are on isdn30 running Q931 which I think is right - we used to be on DASS but had to have it changed.

I'll give it a try (on my own extension) and see what happens.

Thanks !

Just to confirm that works a treat. I was able to look those commands up in the command manual just to check I knew what I was doing and it all works :)

Happy days
