I have an IP Office installed with a PRI. The PRI provider (MCI) is delivering 7 digits. When I dial out, the caller id only shows the 7 digits. Is there a short code I can add to prepend the area code?
Couple of questions
Do you have your National Number configured ?
When a call comes ant it is missed, can you return the call via the handest ??
Can you do a L3 ISDN traces looking at ISDN L3 send/receive and post the trace.
The national number is configured under the PRI line settings, this will only help with inbound calls
See extract from the Manager application
This indicates the digits to be prefixed to a incoming national call. When a number is presented from ISDN as a "national number" this prefix is added, eg. 1923000000 is converted to 01923000000
Are you able to return missed calls ??
Are you using the standard ?.0Dial shortcode to dial out ?
Thanks everyone. I feel I am getting closer.
After adding the s??? to my shortcode that redphone suggested, I am getting the area code to show. Now the problem is the rest of the number quit showing. I am receiving just the 3 digits I added.
I have never needed to make any changes for outbound CLI (UK usualy using BT) when the default DDI is required. I ssupect your network provider is not fully ETSI complient
