Your best bet would be to upgrade to Win98. But more importantly, what is your hardware setup? I would not recommend trying to run PS6.0 on any less than 256M of RAM and 600Mhz or higher system. I installed 6.0 on a petium111 500 with 128 Meg of SDRAM and the program took 45 seconds and longer to load. There are patches for 6.0 that are highly recommnded and some tweaks, but the higher end your system, the better off and happier you will be.
If you are trying to run 6.0 on a 400Mhz proc with 64M of RAM, you will be dreadfully sorry. Just MHO. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
Thank you for the advice. I have to update my system to be able to update Photoshop and Freehand. Guess I have been away from the software store too long. I can't believe how things have moved on without me.
Needed to design a logo for a web page. Luckily a friend brought over his up to date computer for me to work on. And that's where I am headed now.
If you have a fast computer, you will be pleasantly surprised with all the new stuff Adobe packed into PS6.0. If you have a slow computer, get a cup of coffee and read the morning paper as you wait for PS6.0 to load......
I am still using my rock solid PIII-500 with 300M SDRAM, and PS6.0 is really a resource hog and a pig when loading... but when I need vector based tools it is worth the wait When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
