Out of sync formula column

Hi,
I'm using reports 6i. I have a query with a formula column that I use to get values. The formula column has atleast 4 cursors and is used to update a place holder within the same group.

[ main query ]
|
[ Column 1 ]
[ Column 2 ]
[ Placeholder1]
[ formula column]
[ ... ]

The report was ok when it returns few rows but for larger returns the formula col seems to lag behind and doesnt return anything. What can I do to correct the issue.

I will include some of the operations of the function column in the main query and see for now.

Have traced the issue to a coding error and not anything related to how oracle reports does its processing.
