hello all!
I have a windows 2000 server running exchange 5.5, on our mail volume, we have a 13GB and only 1.08Gb is free. awhile ago we bought a new 120Gb HD and it was installed, but it looks like my former boss did nothing else with it.

how can I move the mailboxes from the 13Gb volume to the 120Gb volume?

this may be a simple solution, but 'm new to exchange and need some help!

Thanks,
Tom

Performance Optimizer is the right way to do this. Run it after hours, as it stops the services whist moving the files...

Normally in the 'Microsoft Exchange' group on the Programs group.

Or you can start it directly by running perfwiz.exe from the \exchsrvr\bin directory.

It writes a logfile called perfopt.log into the System32 directory.

You can read up on what it does and how it works before you use it at - it does more than just move the db files around.
