When I have a DOS screen (post) I can see information on the monitor. As soon as the video initializes, my monitor comes up with Out of Range. I plug in another monitor and it is fine.

I'm thinking it's a conlict between my Monitor and my ATI 128m 8500LE. Does anyone know how to reset to defaults on my video card?

Look up the specs for your monitor - resolution & refresh rate. Then boot the PC in safe mode by pressing F8 at boot. Set the appropriate resolution & refresh rates like normal. Reboot normally and see if it works. BTW, it's mre likely the refresh rate that's causing problems.

smah is right, flat screen TFT's do tend to have lower refresh rates and resolution than a staditional CRT monitors, typically 15inches are 1024X768 at 60htz and 17's at 1280X1024 also at 60htz max.
Usually the refresh rate is set too high.

Replying helps further our knowledge, without comment leaves us wondering.

There is no picture in Safe mode either. Any suggestions?

Go back to the CRT monitor you tested with as per your original post. Set the refresh rate to 60Hz, then try your LCD again.
