Im from a exc 2k background, so i need help getting the out of office assistant working.

it works fine intervally but not for emails from outside.

i have been into connections and unticked all the boxes that relate to it and it asked me to restart the service, but it still wont work is there anything ive missed ?

Seeing that youre getting no response from here, you might want to pose your question to the Microsoft Exchange Server 2000 forum.
