Out of Office Not working

We currently have outlook 2007 running on windows 7 machines everything works fine apart form when we load up the out of office assitant we are getting the message

Your out of office settings cannot be displayed, becuase the server is currently unavailable. Try again later

I think this has something to do with autodiscover on exchange 2007 but i dont know where to start

Any help would be most gratful
