Hi all,

we are running windows Nt4 service pack 6a and using Outlook 97 , I have a few users who don't have their 'Out of office assistance' visible in there tool menu . When I log in on the same workstation as an administrator I am able to see the 'Out of office assistance' .

So this must have something to do with userright's be where and how .

Any suggestions would be appriciated

Cheers ,

I had a user come to me with this problem just this week. I sent her these instructions and it fixed the problem. Good luck, Jessica.

On the Tools menu, click Options, click Other, click Advanced Options, and click Add In Manager.

If Exchange Extensions Commands appears in the list of add-ins, click to select it.

If Exchange Extensions Commands is not on the list, click Install. From the list of add-ins that appears, double-click Emsuix.ecf.

Click OK three times to exit out of the Options pages.

Exit and log off.

I also have this issue. I followed your instructions, however I did not have Emsuix.ecf in my list. What do you suggest? Thank you.

CADtech,
The instruction I had were from a MS kb article. There was more to the article that required a reg hack but I didn't want my user doing that. Search for Q238280.

Hi all,

Tried all from the above but without result, but found something weird today, I gave the user temporary administrator rights on his desktop pc, and it seemd to work.

Delete his administrator right logged in again and it is working again. !!! Don't ask me why

cheers ,
