I have a customer that is getting out of memory errors when she is working on large files. Bascially she has typed a 20 page report and when she went to save it, the program bombed on her and will not recover the document.

How can this be stopped from happening in the future? And is there anyway whatsoever to recover the files?

How much memory is on the PC, what is the OS and how much hard drive space is free?

Sorry, been unable to access this forum for awhile.

The PC memory looks great.
1. What happens if only two or three programs are open at a time?
2. Are the files badly fragmented?
3. Is compression on? If so, turn it off.
4. Are all your XP Pro AND WP service packs installed?

1. Not sure what is happening when and if they open another program. When this is happening they only have the WordPerfect Program opened.

2. The files are not fragmented. I've ran defrag on the system several times since posting the first message (although it didn't need it since everything was a new clean install).

3. Compression is not on.

4. XP Pro is completely up to date. WP has Service Pack 4 installed. I think that that is the most up to date SP for WP.
