out of date but need help with 3.12 1

The System Admin. where i work left about a year ago and I have been assinged to manage the network. HP e-40 server mirrored drives, scsi, tape backup. 25 workstations. all dos apps (accpac,word perfect, broker link)Everbody wants win95. I need help. Can some one direct me to the source of information so i can learn. I have taken a 3.12 sys admin 4 day crash corse, $1,400 has only givien me an overview.<br>

Make sure the 3.12 is patched for Y2K - go to support.novell.com for info and patches. An upgrade to NetWare 3.2 might be a good idea - it's the latest 3.x version.<br>
Would advise go to Win98 Second Edition at this time. The latest Novell Client for Windows 95/98 is free from Novell, at same website, although for many users the Microsoft client is adequate.<br>
Most older DOS apps run fine under Win95/98 if you create a Shortcut for the user and tweak if necessary. Some older DOS programs need 2-4K of Expanded Memory to run correctly under Win95/98. AccPac may be one of these.<br>
