Out-of-building extensions

Does anyone now if you are using the phone barrier boxes for IPO analog ports that you can only put 16 of these units on a 30 analog station module? Can you put 16 of them on a Phone 16 module?
Also, does anyone know if the same ITW Linx digital station protection that works on the 44xx series sets works with the 54xx series digital sets?
