I am trying to follow ghtrout's FAQ, on BARS, but am getting hung up.

I have a phone number of 1 269 967 XXXX that wont go out the correct rout, it goes out my local t-1 and gets rejected, it is a long distace call. I have another number of 1 269 964 XXXX that goes to the same town. it works, and goes out the long distance t-1. I cant quite find what the difference is.

system is an option 11, not sure of the exact release.

that should show you why 967 and 964 are pointed to seperate rlb.. you may need to print 1296 967 and 1296 964 as stand alone then make them match

RLI for 1269 is 8, when I try to put 1269 967, or 964 for NPA I get error ESN077, this seems to reference an error in the network nars/bars. I tried putting type as nxx and put in 967 and 964, both give me an RLI of 1.

look at rlb 8, could be it has a bad route as entry 1 or 2. your ld 90 says that all 1269 are going to the same route list block. if two calls leave via diff routes, then your overflow entry may be bad.. remove or fix the bad entry

I had to have my vendor dial in and look at this, they say I have a rule for when a user dials 1269 + local exchange the pbx strips off the 1269 and sends it out my local t-1. 967 was in a table that said to strip the 1269, even though it needed it. they made the ajustment, it works now, I am trying to find this table they are talking of.

Maybe I should have put in my post earlier that 1269 is my area code.

BUT if they changed the dmi, they may have broke other npa's. it was used to stop sending locals out the ld route if they were dialed 10 digits.. now they all go out the ld route.. you will end up paying ld for local calls..

i would get that addressed or find a new vendor. it's easy to fix one number if you don't care what else you break

967 was in a table called FCAS(Free Call Area Screen) , it shouldnt have been, it is a long distace call. I guess numbers in this table get the 1269 stripped off and sent out the local t-1, incase people dial 1269 for a local number, I am in a small town where you still only have to dial 7 digets for local, but the town that has the number of 1269 967 is considered LD. I think I should be set now.

Thanks!
