Our PDC (SP6a) is not working prope

Our PDC (SP6a) is not working properly.
Users are not able to change password and new users can't be added.
After reboot the machine works a week and then it happends again.

Event viewer (appl. log) echo out the following info:
Source REPLICATOR
User ReplSvc
Type Error

Description:
System error 53 occured

Any ideas?

I haven't come across this before myself, but technet is usually fairly good with this kind of thing.
