Oulook Express Hanging...and soemthing unusual

Outlook Express is hanging without reason on my Windows 98 machine. Has anyone come across this before? I have just upgraded to 156RAM and have lots of room on my hard drive.

Also, on other thing that bugs me is that when I open Word for example, it opens fine but also the reduce button for Word on the taskbar flashes and I need to click on it to make the Word windos active. Anyone have this problem.

As you may guess, my priority if for the email problem to be solved first!

If it works, try compacting the folders in Outlook Express. If you can't even open it, boot to safe mode, try it there. I believe its under File>Folder>Compact All Folders.

I would also scan for spyware and virus.

Sounds like something might be consuming resources to the point where certain things won't happen after awhile.

Have you checked for spyware and virus?

I like spybot, don't forget to update it...

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.
