I'm using DoCmd.OutputTo to output the contents of a report which contains one memo field to a textfile. It works well but with one problem; each line of output text has a space in front of it, i.e. if the access report had

Apple
Banana

what I get in the text file is

Apple
Banana

My application that uses the data in the text file can't cope with the leading spaces so I have to delete them manually.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the spaces when I output from Access?

Thanks

How are ya Netherby . . .

Are you sure its not the position of the memo in the report? . . . Give the memo border some color so you can tell . . .

Great! . . . I see you've been here at [blue]Tek-Tips[/blue] since Nov 2001. Do go over one of the links at the bottom of any of my posts. They involve [blue]Tek-Tips[/blue] etiquette. [thumbsup2]
