I am trying to perform a silent install for Oracle8i on Windows NT. I took the svrminimal.rsp file and modified it to fit my needs. However, when I try to run the setup.exe with a response file specified the response file is not found. I even tried putting the response file in the same directory as setup.exe and executing:

setup -RESPONSEFILE svrminimal.rsp

That didn't work!!

I'm sure that someone who has used a response file before can tell me what might be happening.

Thanks,

Bennett

I am pretty sure you have to put the full path into that line for example setup -RESPONSEFILE .\svrminimal.rsp if it is in the root folder or better yet copy the svrminimal.rsp to the temp folder and include the full path as it is written here setup -RESPONSEFILE c:\temp\svrminimal.rsp.

Hope this helps
