I am running ccm 4.1 and will be upgrading to 4.2 in one month.
My question: Is there a way for an agent to see if the person they are transferring to actually know if that person is on the phone or have their phone forwarded to vm? Such as some sort of indicator on the agents phone?
I know the web attendant would work, but I really do not want to let this user have access to this.
 
There is something called Prescience (sp) that Cisco is now touting where this info will be included in the Corporate Directory listing. I don't think it's in CCM 4.2. It may be in CCM 5.X but I think it requires a seperate sever to run the software. Sorry to be so wishy-washy but I don't want you to take this as gospel.
 
thanks! I was thinking having a 7914 added to the side of the phone and having users on speed dial would show it, but it doesn't
 
No a 7914 is EITHER a shared line (Busy Lamp) OR a Speed Dial. It can't be both on the same button.
 
Which has GOT to be the dumbest thing on the planet. Believe me, I've complained and made suggestions to correc this at every Cisco SE day, but the only answer I get is that it would require a "major" rewrite of the existing CCM code and phone load, so perhaps it will be a part of CCM 5.0. You can already do it with CCME.
