We have OTM 2.0 and I was wondering if you can remove/modify the Administrator user and still authenticate to the server??

Hi,

If you use OTM you can create users, using the win2k user manager.

If you create a new user in the user manager (Of win2k), you must add them to the administrator group, or else the scheduler will not work.

When you have created the new user(s) you can remove the administrator.

You can also create new users from within OTM. (OTM adds them to the user manager for you)

OTM also has the option to authenticate users from the domain, if you are using one.

Thanks, An account was created on the Server that is a member of the Administrators group but as soon as the Administrator is removed OTM wont authenticate at initial login.

I will try to remove the account and login as a local admin with a different user name than Administrator and post the results. Thanks for your help and were open to any ideas
