OK here is a new one. I get this OTM Traffic System report.
We have 6 different trunk routes. Can you please tell me what this means in ENGLISH. What about Erlang? I am mainly concerned about the SIP trunks. I need to know if I have enough or how many more I need for this type of traffic? The rest of the trunks were fine.
Let me know what you think. HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM TEJAS!!!

DATA:

Route 1 DID
no trunks equipped 46
no of trunks working 46
no of all trunks busy 665
no of outgoing overflows 59

Route 11 RAN Trunks
no of trunks equipped 3
no of trunks working 3
no of all trunks busy 3,764

Route 18 SIP Trunks
no of trunks equipped 64
no of trunks working 64
no of all trunks busy 1,342
no of outgoing overflows 4,163

Someone analyzing this would want to know what the period (time span) is for this report, what the trunks groups are for, and if the trunks groups are busy, how the call is subsequently routed. Otherwise, the data you posted does not have value other than knowing the the trunks are being used.

Oh, and this too:
HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM WIJCONSIN :)

I forgot about Erlang.

Erlang was a person - a mathematician. Erlang used as a unit of measure means "60 minutes of usage". So, if a trunk group has 20 Erlangs of traffic, it means that (for example) in one 60 minute period the combined talk-time usage of all the trunks in the group added together = 20 hours.

CCS is another one of those mystery acronyms, meaning "Centum Call Seconds" or "100 seconds" When you have a field that is output in CCS, just multiple it by 1.66 to get minutes

OK what it says is that Route 1 which is our DID trunks. That we have 2 T'1's It said over a 24 hour period that 665 trunks were ALL busy. And it overflowed 59 times. What would that mean? How do I know if I have enough trunks for a 24 hours period? This is the accumlation of 7 am - 7 am the following day broken down by hour. I dont think you need it broken out by hour. Any ideas?
