Hi, I am looking into the OTM 2.2 Costed Records file, and I am trying to understand all the fields that are collected. There is an overall goal that I am looking to accomplish at the end of this question. There are some that I think I understand, but correct me if I am wrong.
Thank-you very much for your help in advance,
Jadexing.
Costed Record Fields:
Rec. ID = record id
Call Type = Normal and Tandem (What is a Normal vs. Tandem call?) in the TBS, this shows Normal or Tandem. What does this mean, and when I pull up an archive, it shows T and D. Where did the D come from?
Orig = Trunk/Ext (I understand that Ext= extension, shouldn’t all calls originate from an extension? Why a trunk?)
Orig ID = trunk number or extension number
Term ID = if it terminates on an outgoing trunk vs. Campus extension
Date = Date
Time = Time
Duration = Duration
Digits Dialed = Digits Dialed
Location = Location Dialed
Prov/State = Providence or State Dialed
Country = Country Dialed
Account Code = ? what is this used for?
Auth Code = ? What is this used for?
C.L.I.D = Calling Line Identification (DID passed onto the carrier)
D.N.I.S = ?
Hold Time = ? when is this used? Would this be used with Symposium or because we have a 0 in our field, are we not set up in the PBX to track this?
Ring Time = ? when is this used? Would this be used with Symposium or because we have a 0 in our field, are we not set up in the PBX to track this? Should we track this?
Pulses = ? what does this mean? How could this be useful?
Call Flag = ? what does this mean? How could this be useful?
User Defined 1 = some of out fields have information here, it looks like TNs. Does anyone use this?
User Defined 1 & 3 – anyone use these?
Originating Device = my fields are blank. Anyone use these?
Terminating Device – my fields are blank. Anyone use these?
Cost Status = ? My field shows 1. Anyone know why this is tracked/used?
Service ID = I recognize this one- this is the Description I put into the TBS setup.
Bill Period = ? I am guessing that this is something I set, but right now I am not sure how I affect it.
Bill Ext. = extension to charge back to.
Bill Trk. = I don’t get this one. What I see is that if I don’t have a Bill ext, then I do have a Bill ext. but I don’t recognize some of this info.
Traffic ID = What is this item?
Formatted Digits = what humans see without the routing information.
Type = Whether it is in incoming/outgoing or a long distance call.
Print Flag = ?
Route Used = Route number used.
Direction = whether or not the call came from the outside or inside the campus.
Bill Duration = Time Length of the call to be billed.
V.D.P Discount = I have no idea on this item
Tax 1-4 = What’s a real application on this one?
Off-End Table = what is this one used for?
Off-End Tax = what is this used for?
Report Group = ? what is this used for when we already have the direction table? Is this just redundant information- how is this used?
Total Cost = the cost associated with the call.
Call Zone = wow. I have no idea. Anyone?
Transmit ID = anyone know this one?
Audit No = just a number assigned for the record does this come from the PBX- or from the billing system?
Service Duration = ? what is this sued for since we already have a duration field?
Config Cost = This is something that I set up in TBS for our call costs.
Prorate Cost = if we had this cost, I could set this up somewhere in TBS.
Surcharge = if we has this cost, I could set this up in TBS.
C.P.T ID = ? no idea.
Vol. Rate ID = no idea, anyone?
Rate Table Cost = if I used rate tables, I think the assigned cost would appear here. I have a 0 in my table.
Rate Table Adjust = ? I have a 1 here. I think this means that I don’t use the rate tables, and assign my own rates.
V.D.P. ID = ? no idea.
Cost Digits = no sure what this is stating. I have what looks like extension numbers or CLID.
NPS-NXX/DialCode = the area code and 2nd three digits dialed.
Cost Stage = ? no idea.
The end goal is to have a manipulatable file in which I can had off to database people to put into an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software system in which people across my organization can have the information to allocate in the enterprise software that my company uses.
When I am finished with this little project, I will take my efforts and your help and suggestions and create a nice little FAQ to say thanks and help everyone/anyone else.

Jadexing.
