Hi all
Can anyone shed any light on the following issue?

I have OTM set up, so that my on-site engineer can access mail, using a system icon in the Navigator window or the VT220 maintenance terminal, which connects thru pdt.

When using the VT220 maint term, it is slow and I cannot use CTRL ] to exit the mail and the only way to clear the port is a MAN INI. If I connect to mail using the system icon, I get a faster connection and can use the CTRL ] command, but cannot use the soft keys in mail!

Does anyone know how I can get the soft keys to work on the mail connecting via the system icon or the ctrl ] command to work on the VT220 Maint Term?

We are using an NT4 server and the Mail System in the Navigator window has MMail.INI in the Term Emulation VT220 settings. Opt 11C rls 24.25

Many thanks in advance for any help offered
Regards
Paul

VT220'S ARE ONLY 2400BAUD OR LESS. I GOT ANOTHER ONE ILL GIVE YOU, NO REALLY. YOU NEED TO PROGRAMM THIS OTHER HIGH SPEED TERM. FOR VT100.. 8 N 1...PROCOMM, PROCOMM PLUS WORKS GREAT .. PROCOMM BEST OPT.

I don' believe the VT terminal through OTM or MAT for mail is supported I ran into the same issue and it would lock up the system (11c).

On option 11 meridian mail card option - no matter what you use the session will be slow - the tty 8 port that the switch uses to talk to the card is 1200

Do Not access Meridian Mail through an overlay passthrough connection - you will have to INI the switch to clear.

you can setup a serial port to OTM and setup the vt220 session to use the serial port and then it should work properly
