I have a new OTM application which has the billing application installed.
I have installed the rate tables and connected the Server to the switch via IP etc.
But, There seems to be a missing link to get the Billing application running, where it asks for a collection script, the default was a demo one which generated some test calls, which one do I use to collect calls in real time, and how?
If I use one of the preinstalled scripts it fails for either unable to connect etc, or other errors dependant on whicg script I select,
Any help is most appreciated

Thanks

Hi,

Get the training. OTM billing is too hard to configure without the training.

I followed the training, and I still have a hard time to configure billing.

There is just too much to setup, and explain, before the system works correct.

First, you need to correctly configure your CDR parameters in PABX.
Second, you need to configure OTM for CDR collection.
Third, access the TBS and configure it as well, schdule the CDR collection and costing job too.

Its little bit difficult, its good if you go for any training. However if you spend some days over it, it can be done.

It could be done if the examples in the NTP's apply for your country...

The examples in the NTP's really do not match our situation...

I.e. we can dial a local number with or without the local area code (020-xxxxxxx and xxxxxxx are allowed [thumbsdown])... OTM doesn't recognize the local numbers without the area code's... OTM strips the leading 0 and local numbers never start with a 0, so all local numbers without the area code where incomplete LD numbers.... Try to figure that out whitout the training...

After hours of messing I finally got it sorted.
Make sure you enter the correct AC1/2 etc.

Correctly enter the route and trunk members, LD 21. LTM

From here you will get base info, I agree with the guys above regarding CDR parameters etc, Also make note that if you need internal CDR you should also be looking at set level.

I didn't really get a lot of help from our vendor and no training so if I can do it then most people on this forum can do it, It is really time consuming and when you get deeper into it it all becomes clear.

Thanks God we dont have such problem with our Telco dialing as mentioned by one234, even if we had I am confident that I could find some way out to solve it.

I am running my TBS without any training too and without any support, just I read the NTPs and Help from TBS several several time. You need some determination to solve the problems. This just to encourage "startplayer10" who is in trouble and have the same issue as most of the guys on this forum - NO TRAINING - and have to complete the job too.

However I dont mean to say that training is not importent, of course it is and nothing like that if you are trained on the product before you are given that resposibility but unfortunately it happens very seldom.
