How can someone chane a cpnd wtih the OTM web access?

Yes,after they bring up the general sreen that shows their phone click on keys tab and then you choose scr/scn ect. then it will bring up the key and the name attached-just chg the name and submit it.We have ours set up so thast the user's can load the chg's to their sets but only we can kick them off after approving them-i hope this is what you were looking for.

I don't think you can chg it-I just pulled up a 2500 from my switch and it did't look like there was a field to chg.Let me know if you find a way-Sorry.

Mine doesn't change it in the switch when I change
a name on a digital set.

You have to go the the CPND admin in OTM and change the name there. Don't know about the 2250 cause I don't have one installed. P.S. Make sure you check and change all the DN's on the set that need the name change.

When using the OTM web access to make chg's to phone sets whether it be key chg's or name chg's the user can make the chg's and submit them and what it does is chg the sync status of the set to "chg"in station admin or cpnd.You as the administrator need to go in to the station admin or cpnd admin screen in OTM and approve and kick off the chg's.Can you imagine what would happen if the user's could transmit the chgs to the switch-you would have no idea what was being chg'd.

Where does the user make this change so I can approve it?

@Jimeec:

What you are saying isn't true... If OTM is setup correctly and a user changes something to his/her set. He/She can schedule the change and OTM performs the change automatically.

I've been running OTM for over 1.5 years now and since I've setup web access for the general users, I have never had to send /approve a user’s change.

The only thing I have to do is fix the problems when they mess things up...

To get this to work, you must (At least) enter the PBX username and password in the user group. If you do not do this, the web user is unable to sync with the switch (This is for ALL the groups, even Admin)

@one234-
what you say is true-user's CAN transmit their chg's to the switch.we have the permissions set up so the user's can only load the chg's thus changing the sync status of their phones in the station and cpnd databases then we actually tramsmit the chg's after we approve them.you must have great confidence in your users to allow them to transmit their own changes.I have two words for you----JOB SECURITY.If they can do your job--BYE,BYE 4 you.
