other options to view CR7 reports besides VB & web

I was wondering what options are available for viewing CR7 reports without having an install of Crystal. I've done this through a VB6 app, and have heard that it can be done with a web browser. Are there other known options that work well for this? That's my main question. I'm also curious, if the report is created with CR8 (which a few of our developers have) does that change the answer to this question?

See faq149-277 for info on the compile feature. This works with versions up to the current version. This is the only free option.
