[OT] how to set java version to open console

Hello, on my WinXP PC I have both Java 5 and 6 versions.
The latest version is not able to open console:
I only get main window with Enterprise --> bck server on the left pane, but I don't get anything an the right frame where I should get the managed_app and double clicking it I should get the networker administration window for that server.
I read on 7.3.2 manual that apparently 1.6 is not supported on server and client side...
How can I set my firefox or other to open the console with 1.5 java version?
