I'm trying to set up a shared printer for a user with an OSX10 OS. The printer is an HP LaserJet 6P. The printer installs and sets up fine, but once I go to print, the printer prints 2 pages that have some garbage printed only on the bottom. It looks like *&^#&^%^&;*%^:. It only prints on the bottom of the page, then it just starts throwing out blank pieces of paper. I printed a 1 page document and the printer ended up printing 2 pages of garbage on the bottom, then like 25 blank pages. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

Sounds like an incorrect driver. Is this an os X printer driver? Check hp's site for an os x driver or driver update. It could be that there is no os x driver for this printer. Is this a network printer? That could cause issues also.

When I asked if it was a network printer, I meant is it shared on a server or another computer?

For some odd reason, I posted before and it's not showing up. So sorry if this is a duplicate. The shared printer is through another computer. I downloaded the os X driver from the HP site for the printer and set it up with no problem.
