I'm new to OS X (client) so please bear w/ me. I boot up the Powerbook and You see the Apple logo and it immediatly goes to a 0 with a line through it. First of all what doe sit mean, and secondly, How can I resolve it. I've done the following:

- Zapped PRAM (Apple+Option+P+R did nothing...
- Used Diskwarrior (latest version) did nothing...
- Norton Utilities (latest version) did nothing...

I'm stumped.... any other suggestions, or should I just rebuilding the machine? Note: when I booy up from a CD, I can see the drive and all it's content, I do not know how to tell if the system folder is blessed in OS X, could this been the issue? Please advise.

thanks

Did you try booting to the OSX disk and using first aid? There's a utility called repair permissions. I've run into the same problem during boot up and this solved it.
