OST file recovery

Hi All,

Happy new year to everyone. Hope you had a nice christmas and new year.

Now the serious stuff.

Over the christmas break the main login/Exchange server crashed terminally.

I have the databases from the old Exchange 2000 server and they've been handed over to a company to get the previous emails back.

I have about 6 laptop users with outlook 2003 running in cached mode. It all worked great. Now I need the info from the OST files from each user.

I've searched google (not extensivley (sp)) to find a way to get the OST file back into exchange/outlook but they either work up tp Outlook 2002 or cost a fortune for the number of users we have.

Is there an easy, cheapish way to get the info from the OST file back into these users exchange accounts?

Plenty of ways. One is to create a PST in Outlook on each laptop, move everything into there, name the PST as their AD alias name and exmerge it in. This assumes you are using Exchange 2000 as you detail rather than Exchange 2007 which is this forum.
