Hello all!

I'm working to try and better understand and hopefully automate some functions in CM via scripting OSSI. I cannot find how to do changes though to a given station, specifically button/key layouts, names, etc. Is there anywhere that these individual fields and how to manipulate them are detailed/documented?

Thanks!

I took a look at that post before, but I've never found anything about changing things in CM, only about displaying or listing, which that post and the links seem to detail.

It can be done but it is a pain in the neck. You need to know the field mapping of each field you want to change and how each change impacts other fields. the ossimt with display station will give you the fields but you need to understand how they are mapped on each telephone type. ossit with the change station command will allow you to make changes.

Example would be R016x.03.0.124.0

field value f511ff00 is Time of Day Lock Table with a field length of 1
field value 8003ff00 is Name with a field length of 27

Took a long time to pull all the field information. Avaya does not provide any documentation. In more recent releases they stopped providing field information in several areas so it is even more difficult to identify. There are also nuanced bugs such as an extra undocumented field in the first 14 network regions which will drive you nuts.

I was able to utilize Tdp that I found on a Reddit post to ID those fields and eventually got there for basic key changes, which might be all I'd use this for. Thanks!
