Hi There,
Im looking for some help / guidance regarding sharing the same OSPF inter-area summary statement across two neighboring routers.
Have a look at the attached PDF for more info. Although its not a full network topology, its hopefully enough to demonstrate.
Basically i have a core (area0) site with two routers which provide connectivity to multiple remote sites from each. All these remote sites sit within the range 10.10.0.0 /18 and are area 5.
I need a way to make the 10.10.0.0 /18 summary statement cover both the core routers..the reason?...one of the remote sites span both core routers for resiliency purposes.
I am under the impression that by connecting the two routers together with a link in the area 5 range (in addition to the contiguous area 0 link) this may work?
Thanks for any help you can give.
