Hi everybody!
Need help in configuring OSPF on 1605R. Data are:
Private network Ethernet0: 10.134.10.29/24
Ethernet1: 10.10.10.54/30 connected with remote site on 10.10.10.53/30.
I got message from ISP, that I must configure OSPF area 5.
What is the correct commands to do this?
Appreciate any replys!
Sergej

enable
config t
router ospf area 5
network xxxxxx <networks to advertised via OSPF>

Dont forget your default route.. more then likely somthing like :

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 <next hop>

I think the "area 5" would go at the end of the 'network' statement, not the 'router ospf.' Just a typo no doubt. You will need to specify a process ID at the end of the 'router ospf' statement but it is local to the router so you can choose whatever you wish.

LOL... nothing like peer review to keep oneself honest :)

You are correct.. The process ID can be whatever makes you happy and does on on the end of the router ospf statement

router ospf 100 (process 100)
!
network xxx.xxx.xx.0 0.0.0.255 area 5

See this doc.. instead of trusting my weak memory ;-)
