OSlevel of NIM SPOT

After generating a spot from a lppsource at TL06 , lsnim shows the same oslevel of the spot generated with a lppsource at 05-CSP (NIM Server is at level 5300-06-03-0732) :

Are you sure your lppsource is at TL6 ?

yes I made the upgrade of the nim server (5300-06-03-0732)with this lppsource and generated the spot from this lppsource

I would suggest you do a test install on this image and see the oslevel on the target machine! maybe its only a bug in the lsnim output!

Check the missing filesets in your spot to be at TL6

nim -o fix_query -a fix_query_flags="-c" spot5306 | grep ":-:" | grep 5300-06_AIX


And then compare them with those in our lppsource

I do not understand at the moment why the fileset devices.pci.14107d01.rte.5.3.0.60 not in the lppsource is because I downloaded from the new fix central the last SP 5300-06-03-0732 with the TL 5300-06 together and afterwards I made a "Clean Up Software Images in Repository" on the created lppsource to delete unneeded lpp's ...
I try to recreate the different steps to see from where this "error" comes.

As you said fixcentral has changed for a new but not very good version.

Impossible now to download specific APARS out of the full ML.

Probably when you downloaded ML6 you didn't gave an lslpp -Lc to check prerequisites.

As far as i know, you cant, when you select an APAR fixcentral replies it's included in ML XX and propose to download this ML.

The only way i found, is to search into the temporary directory created for download where the filset is located.

download TL06-SP3 single step
merge the two staging directory to the new lppsource
cleanup the new lppsource

and now ok
