I just did a migration upgrade from 4.1.5 to 4.3.3, now when doing the "oslevel" command it is giving me "TYPERML".

I need to be able for it to give the correct output.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you apply the latest maintenance CD or maintenenace level ? Are you running it as root ?

What does "oslevel -r" do ?
What does "lppchk -v" do ?
What does "oslevel -l 4.3.3.0" do ?

Bill.

Here is the out put from the commands:

# oslevel -r
4330-01
# lppch -v
ksh: lppch: not found.
# lppchk -v
# oslevel -l 4.3.3.0
Fileset Actual Level Maintenance Level
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
bos.acct 4.1.5.0 4.3.3.0
bos.net.nis.client 4.1.5.0 4.3.3.0
bos.net.nis.server 4.1.5.0 4.3.3.0
bos.perf.diag_tool 4.1.5.0 4.3.3.0
# oslevel
TYPERML
#

When I was installing the patches it failed, saying prerequisit file sets were not there.

Get the 4.3.3.0 filesets for the 4.1.5.0 filesets installed. Once that is done (and you reboot), try the commands again.

What does "lslpp -h bos.rte.commands" and "lslpp -h bos.acct" return ?

Bill.

Also have a look at the following thread ,
