I have a mac g5 computer running OS 10.3 that continues to ask for a username and password for a network drive, each time the computer is booted. It doesn't allow you to log onto the drive. When you try to enter the password it gives you the beachball of death. If you let the beach ball spin for 45 min. or so, it finally errors out with the "network drive is unavailable" message. How do I disable the computer from attempting to mount to this network drive permanently? I have cleared my start-up items, cleared the key chain, and even thrown away the system.keychain file.
If I press "command-k" before the Finder tries to log on, I can log onto the drive without problem. However, my Finder icon in the dock doesn't have the little arrow showing that it is running. And, sometimes when I click on a mounted drive, the Finder acts like it is relauching.
