Environment: iMac with OS X 10.3
Problem: the iMac is planned to shut down at 4:00pm, if at the time the screec saver is working, the iMac just go to black screen, the power light is still on, then after I move and click the mouse, it shows blue screen, nothing happen. I can press the power key for a while to really shut down iMac. If the screen saver is not running, iMac is shut down properly.

How to make the two working together? Please suggestion!

See if this helps...

Go to 'energy saver'/sleep...

set 'put the computer to sleep....' to never.

Untick any other check buttons in the sleep area.

Your screen saver will still have the same settings...and schedule start up and shut down will still work.
