Folks,

Interesting scenario which I'd like to share if any of you have noticed/experienced it before.

When patching Windows 2003 EE SP2 via TS (Terminal Service), and when Windows Updates says: "Windows Updates has finished. Please restart your machine".

Then, it prompts for RESTART NOW, RESTART LATER.
If I choose RESTART NOW, OS will kick me out, terminate my TS connection, BUT the server WON'T reboot.

I have to log on to the remote console to reboot it.

Anyone has seen this happening? If so, any ideas why?

Thanks,
...neualex

have seen this lately
to be truthful - i have just ended up doing a shutdown -i
and not followed up to see what is causing it

maybe next month though - as you say though over drac or rilo it reboots no probs
