How can i know the operating system version when my Access 97 programs run?

I dont' know if this helps or not but you can use the Environ() function to return the OS like this:

Environ("OS")

Anyway i have to set the OS variable on every pc, because the value is "Windows_NT" for Win2000 like NT 4, and many times is not specified on Win9X.
Maybe with API?I'll do test...
