All of the sudden, my system running Classic/10.1.5 has the Software Update for Classic (not the OS X one) popping up telling me it can't find drivers for USB device "Unamed Device" and would I like to search for the drivers. If I tell it yes, it says it can't find them. I hit OK and it goes away to pop right back up again telling me the same thing. If I cancel the thing at the beginning, it pops right back up.

I went into the classic control panel and told it to not do automatic searches and it still keeps popping back up.

Any ideas?

it's not software update that's doing that. It is sensing a USB device that it doesn't know what to do with. There's an extension for that you need to shut off, so it won't keep popping up. I can't tell you what it is, I'm not on my mac right now! USB something :) Open your extensions manager and check out the USB extensions. In the info one of them says something about finding drivers.

Well, it seems to have righted itself now. I didn't muddle with the extensions or anything. Came in in the morning, fired up the computer and it popped up. Hit the cancel button and it never came back.

However, if you think to look, let me know what you find so I can stop it for good. Thanks for your help.
