OS 8.5 CD

I have bought a 2nd hand iMac 333, but it came without the install CD. A friend with a dead powerbook has offered me his 8.5 CD but it's labelled "Mac PowerBook G3 Series".

Will this allow me to install on my iMac?

The best way to check is to try. The installer will immediately tell you if it is not intended for your computer. You will not be able to install the wrong operating system on a computer.
