We've only had SMS 2.0 up for a few months and would like to upgrade to 2003. We don't have too much invested so I'm planning on turning off the 2.0 server and installing SMS 2003 on a new beefed up server. What I am wondering is if I do this will my workstations have any problems finding the new 2003 server after I blow away the 2.0 server. Should I uninstall all of the clients or will 2003 handle that for me? Should I name the site something different from the old site? Will the current 2.0 clients pick up the 2003 client and start reporting like nothing happened?

I had similar situation when old SMS 2.0 SP5 server died and I installed new SMS 2003 with different site name. I was able to push advanced client without any problems. But on most NT4 workstations I had to uninstall old client first and then install new one.
