I just purchased an AMD 64 3000 and am using windows XP 64 beta. I have an older laser printer a Samsung ml-1430 which is now discontinued. I tried using the XP drivers for it but after I install them it says they are the drivers for another machine besides the one I'm using...meaning I'm guessing ...that they are for XP not XP64. Does anyone know how I can get drivers to work for this situation. I don't want to purchase another printer although I did see a Dell 1700 on sale for $129. The problem I see though is ... how do I get drivers even for that one, if I can't get them for the Samsung
thanks for any help

It's all a matter of driver support.
Weather Samsung deem it necessary in their wisdom to write 64bit drivers for one of their old printers.

If one is not available on their site it means they either they have not released one yet or that they don't intend to release one at all (which is more likely) you could try emailing Samsung with this question but chances are they have no intention of a 64bit driver release for this printer.

Obviously newer printers are much more likely to be supported, check before you buy.
