Orinoco AP-1000 connection problems

Hi dudes, I need some help on updating the firmware of the Lucent AP1000 thatI have.
Itz not working well with other brands of 802.11b cards, esp the Intel Centrinos. Any ideas besides upgrading the firmware, the proxim site is not helpful as it does not have any info abt the AP1000

The problem is likely the Centrinos.

For the time being do not use WEP.
