Hello,

We have been having a weird and annoying issues primairly with our Nortel 61xx wireless handsets. We get a call that a user can't get dialtone or make calls on a handset. So we stat the phone and it shows busy, when we trace it we get the trace below that shows its in ORIGHOLD, really annoying. They are able to clear it from the set by selecting the line and hanging up. But that seems a bit too much to ask ;).

Has anyone seen this issue before or know how it might be caused or stoped from a system perspective? We surmise that it is due to an incomplete transfer or a call that might have been droped. We turned off aha (automatic hold) and this appeared to help reduce the occurance of the issue. But it still seems to be a problem.

Anyway would appreciate any help or thoughts. Thanks

Do they have to transfer calls off site during the course of the day? This is a long shot, but I'd try CLS FTTU just to see if they are trying to do an off site transfer, cause it is not possible with FTTC - basically, it would leave the call stuck on the phone. But your AHRA should alert them that a call is on hold.

The FTTU/FTTC/FTTR only applies if it is turned on in FTOP
