We're looking at using GroupWise shared address book for an enterprise wide address book. I have most of this figured out but noticed that whenever I assign a contact an organization, an organization is created. That's ok except GroupWise creates duplicate organizations - I could end up with 100 Key Banks! Does anyone understand how the connection works? If I could add an organization and associate people with it, that would be ok but we can't seem to do that either. Thank you any help you can provide!

don't know which version you're on.. but try this:
in address book where you have an org created already, go to a person you want to associate, right click on them and go to "office" tab. On "organization" line, enter the name of the org. User should join it automatically. If you click on arrow button (just to the right of the organization box) it takes you to the organization. Org names will autocomplete in window.

Just to add to ITsmyfault's post, if you are running GW v6.5 you will have to be at SP1 or higher for this to work in a shared folder. We ran into that little pit ourselves. I can not say if this is for all of v6.x's or not. But it is for v6.5.
