I have a question on OU's, I'm practicing with them and I was wondering. When I create an OU in a domain, I create users in these OU's. If I move the user from one OU to another, other than security from that OU, does this affect the ability of the user to logon to the domain?

No, OU's are simply units of storage. The members of an OU can however, be effected by GPO's applied to the individual OU's.

Hope this helps,

Is there a script or process available to monitor the move a user to his appropriate OU based on his IP address or the DC it logs on to? If so any ideas on where it is located? I have two issues - 1. Several of our sites are using Ghost to build machines - which ends up dumping the computer account into the default Computer group for the Domain. I then have to manually move each computer to it's appropriate OU. 2. I am enabling the Symantec 8.1 Login Script to look at the computer as it is loggin in and to install the appropriate SAV antivirus client - This would work idealy if the computer was in it's appropriate OU structure from the getgo.
Thanks for any assistance.
