I got following exception when itried to run my jsp in tomcat4.1.24 version,

can anybody help me?

looks like there is something wrong in your jsp file ;-)
parts of the source code would have been helpful. all i can tell u is the them that the exception already does: the jsp-file can't find your helloWorld class ...that's all

hello sasim,
well i do think that their may be problem with Helloworld.jsp file.

help required by me in installation of 4.1.24...u may have read my post.
well as u have Tomcat 4.1.24 successfully running i request u for a small help.

well after installing Tomcat 4.1.24,when u run Tomcat with double clicking startup.bat file, u get 2 dos screens running and then remaining as open window which then u minimize(my OS is WIN2K)..i do get them running but they disappear and when i press cntl-alt-del i don't find them as running service..

please can u help me about the correct method to specifically install tomcat 4.1.24....

definely error in jsp file causes this error. Hence, since the jsp file cannot be compiled into a servlet/java class, it complains that it cannot find that class.

Remember, tomcat automatically detects any changes in JSP files. Based on this, it will try to compile the jsp file.
If there are no changes in the JSP file, it will load up the existing class, assuming there is one.
