I have a database that is used for entering customer orders. What would be the best way to have a dialog open each time the database is opened informing the user of how many open (non shipped) orders are still in process? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

I'd suggest building a query to grab the open orders, base a form with that query as the record source and have the form open at Startup.

If you click Tools>Startup, you will see a window that lets you choose a form to open at startup. Select the new form.

When Galileo theorized that Aristotle's view of the Universe contained errors, he was labeled a fool.
It wasn't until he proved it that he was called dangerous.
