I have a questionnaire from AT&T asking about signalling from the customer equipment to the AT&T network.I know to order B8ZS,ESF,etc.This will be an 032 with 6.1 sofware,NT7B74 and combo card. The options are 1,DTMF wink(with digits) when using ARS or LCR or 2,Dial Tone Start Immediate.I know signalling from the AT&T network should be DTMF wink start(dialtone optional) but I've never been asked about equipment signalling.I read the question about 6.1 T-1 troubles.Where on the software card would I find the codes representing the troubled software?Iwas also asked if this will be NI-1 or NI-2. Thanks for any help

First, don't worry about LCR or ARS on an MICS. DTMF wink start. You also want NI2. Don't know about 6.1 T1 troubles.

From what I remember reading on threads about 6.1 software and PRI, make sure it is the MR release. You might want to be safe and upgrade to 7.1.

Are you getting a t-1 or PRI. NI-1 and NI-2 are ISDN protocols.

Thank all of you for replies. This is for a T-1 PRI.

wht 6.1 software there is a compatability problem with Central offices that are DMS the init string from a DMS switch isn't recognized by 6.1 software and you just sit there hanging.

I have always used NI-2 with 7 digit drop from the telco.
