Ordering groups in a report

I have a basic report fed from a query. It consists of a company name, project value and a status.

The status text might be "Tender Submitted Won", "Tender Submitted Sent", Tender Submitted Oustanding" etc.

The grouping works fine in that I can group all the companies and their associated project values and get a sub-total on a per group basis.

Unfortunately, the order of the status in the printout is not correct from the users point of view even though it may have been sort alphabetically correctly.

How can I control which order the groups are printed out in?

Many Thanks

For status, categories... I'd usually have a lookuptable to fetch them from. If you have that, you could add a field for sort order to that table, add it to the query, and group by that sort order field in the report (but display the status text).
